Maybe this sounds banal and corny, but I’ve experienced it as personally profound: you can shift your perspective from “wow, that person is being incredibly stupid” to “maybe they’re currently learning something important,” for any person, at any time. You can also do this to your view of organizations, countries, even the human species.
